    Fuck yes Valve, now you can work on getting those other maps out.

    General
    - Fixed Survivors being able to climb surfaces marked for versus infected only.
    - Fixed a class of SurvivorBot bugs dealing with rescuing downed players.
    - Players can no longer grab ladders while flying through the air after a Tank punch.
    - Shooting near a car with an alarm that has already fired the alarm will no longer make chirping noises.
    - Improved loading time.
    - Fixed mini-gun physics exploit.
    - Fixed propane tanks (and other physics objects) causing players to fall through elevators.
    - Fixed rare achievement bug issues.
    - Fixed several map exploits.
    - Fixed various match making issues.
    - Fixed NAT traversal issues.

    Versus Changes
    - Added HUD elements to show status of other infected players.
    - Changed color of infected player name in chat to red.
    - Fixed exploit where players could spawn infected bots

    - Normalized special infected melee damage.
    - Made the following client commands cheat protected: "Kill" and "explode".
    - Fixed exploit where infected players could run away and teleport back to gain health.
    - Players can only change teams once per map.
    - Players can't change teams while other players are still loading.
    - Tank spawns at the same % through the map for both teams in versus mode.
    - Made the Tank and Witch spawn directly on the escape route.
    - Increased chance of getting the Tank or Witch.
    - Fixed team swap issue.

    Hunter
    - Easier to pounce a Survivor who is meleeing.
    - Increased Minimum damage a Hunter pounce does.

    Smoker
    - Fixed Smoker tongue tolerance.
    - Smoker now has to be killed or the tongue destroyed for the tongue to break.
    - Survivor's cannot bash someone off the tongue until the Survivor being pulled is paralyzed or hanging
    - Tongue attacks that fail to paralyze or hang a Survivor will use the shorter ability delay timer.
    - Fixed cases where the ability timer was not using the correct time.
    - Fixed case where you could point at a Survivor but not register a tongue hit
    - Fixed Smoker tongue not targeting and landing properly through PZ ghosts.
    - Smoker tongue does damage every second while dragging paralyzed Survivors.

    Tank
    - Bashable objects now appear with a red glow.
    - Tanks hitting a car with an alarm disables the alarm permanently.
    - Tank frustration timer is only reset by hitting Survivors with rocks or fists.
    - Reduced autoshotgun damage against Tanks.

    Which parts?

    Boomer- Jump from high buildings into the middle of the survivors, if you can’t get one in time one of them will panic and shoot you and you will explode on them.

    I can't stress how important it is to get all 4 survivors when you explode or vomit. When they are covered in the goop, they cannot see the color coded outline that tells them when a hunter has pounced a teammate or when a smoker has grabbed someone. It doesn't last long but it's very note-worthy.

    Also when you explode you knock them back. This can be used to knock them off the edge in No Mercy level 4 (After you get off the elevator).

    Just hit the survivors all together. If you're a boomer wait for your teammates. If you're a hunter/smoker, wait for your boomer.

    Go to the console and type "bind k kill" to instantly explode on survivors. Do not forget to unbind this later, as a survivor it still kills you if you press it accidentally. (patched)

    If there is an attack currently in progress try and get someone to prolong the attack.

    You are essentially a really weak pyro, hide around corners and in rooms above (never below) or down a corridor the survivors will be traveling.

    If a smoker or hunter (or maybe even a tank) has a survivor pinned throw up on them for mass chaos.

    Fire will pop you, if you are on fire run for the nearest survivor in an attempt to pop on him or throw up on him.

    In tight spaces you can position yourself so when you die you can cover everybody (and get an achievement!)

    In No Mercy 4, , you can drop RIGHT in front of the elevator and they WILL freak out and shoot you and you will explode on everyone. Unless they are in the closet, keep doing suicide runs to stagger them.

    The sewer level is a boomers heaven. All those enclosed places and dark corridors. Also, try hiding above the manhole covers when the humans are fighting back attacks. I kept the humans there for 5 attacks before they realized what I was doing.

    Hunter- If you are good with the scout or rocket jumping then this is your special infected, he moves quick, jumps all over the places, and his primary attack can be used to get to higher special places without a ladder.

    You can use your primary attack indefinitely without recharge as long as you are crouched when you land.

    If you arch your jump just right or start in a high enough place you can land on someone and do bonus damage. I have done up to 30 damage just landing on a person at just the right height/angle.

    Aim up for jumps that will cover more distance, you can also arc your shots so you jump over a truck and land on a survivor if you can see their silhouette.

    Damage is based on horizontal distance. The most you can get is 25.

    If you have a ready source of fire nearby, light yourself and then pounce. You do tons more damage.

    Smoker- Angle your shots so the other survivors cannot see you.


    Try and pull survivors off of any high place, not only will they take fall damage, most likely the rest of the team will jump after them, thus making them take damage/ delaying them.

    Wait for someone to chuck a molotov, then drag a survivor through his own wall of fire

    During an attack pull a survivor away from the others for max effect. Bonus points if hes been boomed on.

    Pull survivors towards the car or the witch.

    Pull survivors away from the safe room.

    Quit pulling survivors TOWARDS the safe room. Make them backtrack.

    No Mercy finale, when the first survivor is on the roof,pull them and pray you don’t have a trigger happy hunter on your team.

    Believe it or not, you make or break the game along with the boomer. Learn to play if you think smoker sucks

    Tank- Smack the car towards the survivors, they WILL panic and they WILL shoot it.

    Separate them, make sure that they are all running in different directions so the other special infected can pick them off.

    DO NOT GO INTO VENTS, the tank moves at a snails pace when crouched under small objects, throw shit at them instead.

    Do not try to kill a downed survivor; it takes too long, focus on downing the other survivors present first.

    If you are a hunter/tank and you see a smoker choking someone do not pounce/hit them, you knock them out of the hold. Focus on the other survivors coming to assist.

    Aim debris attacks so they hit multiple survivors.

    The tank can break certain elements of the environment such as pillars and doors in one hit. There are also special sections of wall that the tank can clear to startle and expose survivors.

    As a tank, punch objects like cars/tree trunks, in versus mode it will incap anyone in one hit. Even at 100% health

    Block entrances with cars and such. It may be exploiting but hey, if they had the chance they would do it too.

    Green survivors run slightly faster than you, go after yellow or reds.

    Witch- You cannot play as her, but you can aid in provoking her.(Patched)

    As any infected other than the tank stand in front of the witch and hide her from the survivors, with any luck they will shoot at you and startle the witch.

    You can startle the witch yourself and get her moving but she will not attack the survivors until they provoke her themselves. To do this, just smack her up a bit([Patched]

    General- The order in which you send people is Tank > Boomer > Hunter > Smoker for maximum effect. Coordinate this with microphones

    If a tank is chasing survivors, get the one farthest away from the pack. Odds are they wont stop moving to help him up.

    Shit you should already know for survivors

    Turn full captions on for earlier warnings for special infected and hordes.
    Turn off flashlights when close to witch.
    Shoot the tank until it dies.
    Never, EVER, just try to "run for it" unless you are extremely close to the safe room
    Stick together for fucks sake. if you must separate, split into groups of two.
    Stay close together. Never go running off ahead, or pop back to check something. Stick with the group.
    Frequently check the other survivors. Nobody should be pinned by a special infected for any length of time.
    Keep moving. The longer you spend standing round doing nothing, or checking all the side rooms and closets, the more zombies are going to spawn.
    Just open the door for god’s sake. It’s been proven that every zombie you kill from the safe room, another spawns just out of sight.

    I played this on 360 version today, haven't decided to test on PC yet since the update...but on the finales on versus, have they fixed tank glitching. As in the team agree not to use the tank and just let it switch between members and hiding it. This means that you can't get the finale vehicle to arrive untill you destroy it.

    So has this been fixed? Either event carries on regardless or all team mates have one chance to use tank?

    Believe it or not, the closet isn't the best place.

    you need two survivors outside closet, one by the door the closet is facing and one to cover the breakable wall for maximum effect.

    did this with a friend and the door not only withstood the whole horde to elevator hitting the fourth floor, but the only one who took damage was the one guarding the breakable wall and that was only just slight damage.

    Melee is still overpowered as fuck. Tongue can be broken at any time, just like before, I haven't noticed anything to have changed so far as the balance of the game is concerned.

    I mean, I'm glad they fixed the exploits, but they need to do something about melee spamming.
