Well, they can't sue EQ at least, because the patent was filed after it came out.

This'll go either one of three ways. Either:

A. There'll be another reform on how patents work.
B. NC Soft and others with their large sums of money will hire the best lawyers in the land to find a different way to phrase what they've been doing.
C. NC Soft and others will take it up the butt and MMORPGs will be dead.

This won't hold up in court. This doesn't just cover an MMO, this technically affects any online game such as HL:DM, Ultima, or Doom, all of which were released years before the millennium.

Lets throw that aside, assume that they made the very first online virtual interaction ever in the year 2000. I've never even heard of these guys, they have done NOTHING with their product, how can you sue if you don't do anything with wasted potential.
