    Stickies are not offensive weapons. They're supposed to be used for traps. You're supposed to die from stickies that you walk into unawares - if you see them, you should be able to destroy them.

    However, you'll still be able to use stickies as primary weapon - most demos just blow them up instantly anyway.
    This really only helps engies, who can now hold out for a few more seconds against a single demo.

    A demoman who spends enough time to master his class can dominate any other class. All that can take out an expert demo is a spy or a sniper that the demo hasn't spotted yet.

    you said that my point was invalid because they have 2-3 seconds, which gives you enough time to see the grenade and stop chasing them. i pointed out that the time frame is MUCH shorter, and that even if you decided this didn't change the circumstance, you're still giving demomen a free ticket out of any sticky situation (pardon the pun). to make it short and sweet, scouts should be able to own the shit out of demomen if they get close, not get blown up in a second while trying to stick with the fucker.
