What? Talk to random/important-looking NPCs for quests, town guards (left side of town exit) for official missions.

Also, have you done the tutorial quests yet? If not, head to Windurst Woods and talk to the blonde tarutaru at the eastern town exit. She'll give you some very easy quests with some AWESOME rewards such as a ring that increases the EXP you get for 30 minutes every 16 hours.

Field of Valor is a new feature that lets you fight monsters in a secluded area (I think) and gives you EXP and girl rewards for killing enough of them.
