Sup /v/irgins, I need to get something off my chest.

You may say I'm trolling but I totally don't understand all the hype about this steaming pile of randomness. What's up with that you guys? It was fun the first few weeks because it was new and you could dominate the hell out of all the "newfags", but after that it got old pretty fast. I've never seen a MP FPS that loses all it's fun potential as soon as there are uneven teams. In every other team based game I played, you could turn the shit around on your own or at least have fun trying. In TF2 the classes are so, I don't know how to say it...just not lethal enough to make a difference. You can be the motherfucking fist of the northstar, the hell the best player in the world and you still can't do jack against a crowd of enemies (that are not utterly retarded smartass). and don't give me that "hurr it's a teamgame hurr". It's plain a horrible game design when the only way to win is to effing zerg the enemy down. Other than that all the game is about is the fucking uber. Wait for uber, rinse repeat. Plain horrible.

I'm not an elitist, I had my fair share of tourneyfaggotry in my time, but now I just want fun and I just don't get how anyone can find this game fun if he's not a total casual (as much as I hate this word it describes it the best)

It reminds me of WoW Battlegrounds actually. (played it a lot with the account of my sister) The same competitive crap in an environment that just doesn't fit for a competitive game. For gods sake all weapons got a dmg-range from xx-xx, like in an RPG. Also a dmg fall-off wtf. I like the crits tho, could live without em but they are fun sometimes.

tl;dr: This game is particularly designed for casuals, it's a casual helpan gaem.

Some servers choose to remove crits and put a number limit on players playing the class at the same time.

It changes the gameplay style somewhat.

Well there we disagree. It's called Team Fortress 2. Not Lone Wolf Fortress 2. It's designed so that a working team will always defeat a disorganized team.
The definition of "hardcore" (if one exists) is that it takes time to adapt to the game and people are beginners will be beaten consistently by those who are not. This is the case with TF2.
Go back to CoD4 if you like the one man army deal.

If you want to be able to turn battles around by yourself, go and play Battlefield.

Not critisizing BF, just: TF2 is a team game; Battlefield is a game with some teamplay elements.
