i shit my pants every time i look behind me and theres nothing there and then 5 seconds later i do it again and theres 30 zombies running full speed ready to tear me the fuck apart.

Intense games usually crack me and leave me feeling really snapped, but no matter how "scary" you try and make a game, itll never dent me.

    Thats where Dead Space failed.

If only i could play Left 4 Dead though, no code, gonna have to wait for public demo release.

No, not scary really, but shove it onto Expert and feel the pressure.

    Shit is awesome.
    >> Anonymous 11/07/08(Fri)19:08 No.22444874
The only reason it isn't scary is because the zombies...are not scary looking. They don't act like they want to eat your flesh, they just act like you tried to fuck their sisters, and now they want to kick the shit out of you. They're aren't really on par with 28 days later zombies either, they're like, stuck between scary and not scary, which sucks, but it's still a very fun game. The modding community will hopefully take care of this. If Valve didn't care so much about shitty computers being able to handle this game, they could have went all out. I would have like to of seen blood gurgling from their mouths, ultra white skin, decaying flesh, you know, some bone and muscle exposure. I also miss the groans and moans of a classic zombie, the kind that echo so eerily in the darkness, and send shrills down your spine.
    >> Anonymous 11/07/08(Fri)19:09 No.22444886
Game is incredible but people need to learn that you don't fucking backpedal or strafe in tight corridors/small rooms. Crouch and melee are incredible tools in this game and it seems like a lot of people just don't use them.

More on topic, it's a little scary at first but once you recognize the sounds of the different special zombies you can usually tell what's coming at you, it's just a matter of being able to deal with it. I love witches though, you can really tell when the rest of your team is shitting themselves.

It's intentional. The whole point is the "zombies" are just normal people with some sort of infection. It makes them super-aggressive but it's not like they're undead or something.

Yes, I understand this, which in-part is why they are not very scary. They don't act like zombies, they act like a bunch of pissed off faggots. I guess I was just hoping the "infected" would translate to something more zombie like.

CS:S zombie mod is pretty intense, not to mention, WAY more people. I would have liked to of seen maps that make up the huge city they're in, with groups of 8 spread out across the city, fighting swarms of infected, each trying to reach a certain objective. I could think of so much awesome shit they could have done. I'm going to have to become a game designer one of these days.

Witches scare the fuck out of me.
I was just playing with a friend, just him and me with two AI on Expert. Shit was fucking intense. In the final try we made it to the very last rail car, even though we were being chased by a tank from one end, and there was a hunter at the other. I got ganked by the Hunter, didn't see how my mate died, but I think it was just the generic zombie horde that got him, since even before we got there we were all on very low health.

This is the most intense game I've ever played.

Our tactics (and I use the term quite wrongly) in Expert involve... moving forward and shooting.
Though, to be fair, I have a great bunch of guys who don't care if we suffer a total team kill six times in a row. We generally have as much, if not more fun when we're getting our asses kicked as we do when we're winning.

I honestly can't imagine playing with clanfags who demand PERFECT PRECISION EVERY SECOND.
