days, these threads are full of ten billion PSX JRPGs that I've never
played, usually with 'saga', 'infinite', 'fantasy' or the romanization
of some assumably Japanese word in the title.
Other days, these threads contain a lot of 8-bit or 16-bit platformers, most of which I've also never played.
A couple of these threads usually get into heated debates at some point over which of the three GTAs had the better soundtrack.
Personally
I don't think it gets much better than Earthbound music. This shit
really matches the atmosphere almost everywhere in the game, where you
go from your tiny village of Onett to the corners of the world, then go
underneath, then in your own damn mind, then several million years into
the past just for good measure - the music really helps set the general
mood, keeps a consistent theme throughout, and is still half worth a
listen when you're done with the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvBT1Cspwss |
