You can google and read about the new starforce protection that came in chaos theory that took over 400 days to crack properly. This was one of the killing blows for it, however. It was incredibly complicated, with an entire encrypted obsfucated virtual machine inside the protection.

You -could- play it before the crack, but it was with a bunch of fucked up mini DVD images and stuff, not a proper way.

Games is easily maxed out with the exception of AO to normal and AA to normal as well. Cranking AA to extreme will fuck your system up if you dont have a high end card. AO however does this weird thing where it makes the camera jump to behind your car when you're driving, hard to explain but it's fucking annoying so keep it on normal.

Other than that it's a pretty great game, they fucked us over with the police protection pack
though and the car,weapon outfit is only
useable in the shitty mission it comes with.

I just beat the game at 35 hours played. Level 9/10 cop, level 9/10 triad, level 10/10 face, and all the martial arts moves learned. I still need 9 health upgrades and a few lockboxes. The game was great. It had its bugs here and there, but it looked smooth on max settings and was never broken enough to make me mad or upset. There's a patch tonight fixing most of the problems people have found. Honestly, this game takes my GOTY so far. I fell in love with Dragon's Dogma, but I think this game topped it for me personally (that's just, like, my opinion, man). I hope they improve upon it and make a second one, even if it's a different main character and location. The style of it was just perfect. I played on PC, but I enjoy my third person sandbox games with a gamepad, and it felt right on my 360 controller I used to play it. Looking forward to Dark Souls PTD and Dishonored now. Hoping I have even more fun with Dishonored.
