Like any language that isn't widespread like english or spanish, french is only useful if you plan on visiting french places, watching french media or interacting with french people (business or otherwise). It's not a good idea to learn it if you're just going to live in your country of origin, and not really use the fucking language, there's no real reason to invest time into learning any language that isn't widespread.
