Regarding the DE franchise, I would love to see more of jensen. Maybe a sequel regarding the founding of UNATCO , formation of MJ12 and the blow up of the statue. Alternatively I would love a re-imagine of Invisible war and make this version the definitive canon.

You need to streamline the game more. I had hard time understanding where to go, maybe you could do what valve did and go for linearity. The game was also too long, again valve did great with Portal series, those games were perfect for a busy gamer like me. Shit would be great, you could hide behind a box with your back to it, enter head/neck mode and start turning your head around the box in first person. I got bored of HR after I realized that the only explorable cities were Detroit and China.

At the very least, there should be three major city hubs and three or four smaller hubs. Suburbs, you know.
It's like Pokemon. You got your Celedon cities and you got your Lavendar Towns. Lot's to do in the former, but the latter could be unexpected places to have major reveals.

Also, if I get wind of any more combat-only boss battles, I will find you OP and kick your little graphics designer ass.
You should at least be allowed a clever solution. No, scratch that, you should be allowed several clever solutions.

The combat in DEHR was alright for a cover shooter, but could stand to be more fluid and strategic.

The visuals were some of the best I've seen.

The locations I already mentioned. Too few.

The plot was... well I didn't hate it. But I certainly didn't like it.

Overall, it was average.

Boss fights were a bit out of place compared to the rest of the game. Why not have multiple options for taking on a boss? Like if you were in commando mode killing everybody then yeah, the boss fights make sense. But say if you were going stealth, it just made no sense on the scale of how you handled the rest of the game.

This may sound a bit complex, but why not have a different way of handling a boss for stealthy characters, I don't mean a instant kill sneak up easy mode type of deal. But something real difficult to accomplish for stealth characters, like hacking something, poisoning him? Something believable but also satisfying for a stealth character.

The amount of levels was also a bit disappointing, seems like 3 massive hubs should be standard, but not to take away from HR, because the game, still felt massive on its own.

I'd like to see the more hand-holdy things like floating objective markers, item outlines, and 3rd person in cover as optional things. That way everybody is happy.

I'd also like to see a proper sequel to the original. You can just retcon Invisible War for all I care. The biggest downfall of Human Revolution in my eyes was that it was a prequel, which limited what you could do with the endings. A good sequel where you can have proper endings that aren't just a monologue would be nice.

Add proper melee combat. Takedowns that use energy are just silly when things like the Icarus System took none. Just have actual melee weapons or even the ability to just use your fists like a melee weapon instead of having a takedown system.

Finally, don't outsource your bossfights this time. Make it so you aren't forced to kill them, but rather have ways to avoid them like in the original.

Beyond that, I feel like Human Revolution was a solid game, and it's actually my second favorite of all time.

- Make it actually RPG and not shooter with RPG elements(so as if you do something in the game it have to have at least some sort of meaning to the whole concept even if it is just some bonus story elements that you wouldn't notice without the quest, or something that could help player to understand plot and everything else more deeply). So yeah, if you make a choice, make people feel like it matters. Also fuck buttons, that was just fucking lazy.
- More depth and freedom to explore and reward for the effort
- The whole lets do one thing over another just for fun XD is most pointless aspect of the game. In a good game fun is subtle and happens without game pointing out where should i have fun and where should i not. I dare you to find one person who would choose one thing over another because that what they believe in - BULLSHIT. Choice must be between what you want to do less then what you want to do more. It will make you think more critically and choose carefully. And if you want RPG you have to make it more obvious and more critical to the game.

tl;dr If you want to make better games you should probably ask for mistakes you did so you wouldn't repeat them over and over.
Also art style was the only thing i liked in the game and Elias.

I think this these are all the bad things about the game. IMO the rest was amazing: great gameplay, great lenght, amazing attention to detail, great sound and music and a great Deus Exey game, with the different paths and ways to play (as someone else mentioned, maybe a bit too much vents).

I want a freaking ending that tells me what happens with the characters of the game based on the choices i made after its game over. You know, like in Deus ex? Not some half assed stream of conscience of the protagonist justifying his actions. He doesn't need to do that, because i was choosing for him the entire game. Maybe it could go AFTER the ending, along with the credits. And the delivery must be better, not pushing a button, but actually doing things. Maybe Jensen could've gone and rig Panachea to explode himself, or he could've rescued every single dude and bring them to an helicopter with his own bare hands. The "press button - receive ending" thing was so cheap it broke the suspension of disbelief and ruined everything that came afterwards.

Separate augs that simply add % modifiers to already existing skills and ones that add entirely new abilities. People are always going to gravitate to new abilities if they're a completionist, and no matter how hard the combat is, they're going to ignore things like 20% extra armor in favor of being able to hack level 3 locks. That said, ignore simple % modifiers anyway, give the player a massive boost that you can really see if you're going to have those kind of augs (Instead of the aforementioned 20% extra armor, have something like Dermal Plating, which causes weak firearms to simply have no effect -- it's something that will actually change the behavior of the player if they have it or not.).

I bought a CE of Human Revolution and heres the main problems:
- The writing gets to utter SHIT after a few hours, the ending parts are the worst there.
I mean suddenly they have a sentient AI that was supposed to be invented much later on.

It was atrocious and should never ever have been put in the game, and the reporter bitch as the final villain wasn't memorable or fun to fight.

This problem is heavily related to the writing, it feels like some rich guys plan to take over the world, they don't feel threatening or even powerful.
Its not a global conspiracy where you fly all over the world.
The original had perfect pacing, you felt that this shit was huge, you started off in UNATCO thought this game was gonna continue like that then BAM shit turned 180.
- The Characters
Adam was kinda cool, Sarif didn't have enough screentime, neither did Pritchard nor Malik.
You really gotta develop the characters of your allies and introduce villains that are known, threatening and reoccurring, I don't remember ANY of them.
Also Megan was a unlikeable whore.

Make starting skills actually bad, on DE1 any skill you didnt invest points on made you a laughing stock, yes that even goes or weapons.

you could include an option to ask a question of an npc in the middle of knocking them senseless or knifing them. say you knock the on the ground, knee on the back, hand on mouth. make it clear to them whos boss then allow to ask questions.

Don't use l4d AI for enemies ever again, it was terrible and made the last level the worst of them all.

Make the game more philosophical and thought provoking, less about bigotry and advancement. Deus Ex 1 sums up the entirety of DX3's in-world controversy in one conversation and makes it all the more effective.

oh wow seedy, fuzzy ambient, how god damn boring can you get? The soundtrack was boring and had no memorable tracks except the unatco one, and that is because they used a far more memorable track than anything in the game.

You have the entire deus ex soundtrack to sample, and you use one track and an easter egg from the cathedral. How boring. Ambient tracks are boring as shit, Deus Ex was characterized by its jazzy, orchestral, rock and ambient, not just its few ambient tracks.

The OST was one of the biggest disappointments of DX3.

Honestly, I'm going to have to agree that the original soundtrack was better. A majority of HR's soundtrack was ambient. In fact, a few songs are labeled like "Detroit City Ambient Part 1", at least that's how the Augmented Edition soundtrack is.

The original game had more memorable songs, and to be honest the only memorable song from HR for me was Icarus.

What would have happened if Adam/Icarus had reached space? What do the megacorps do when they lose touch with the mutating world?

More AIs. The reporter chick hologram was hot. More Prichard would be great. Answers to the big question: does Adam clean up his hovel and install the new mirror?
