PC Gamer here. I play most of my games on controller, it's more comfortable except for some competitive FPS's. I personally think it's a bit of both.

GFWL legitimately hurts the game, it makes it unplayable for some percentage of customers, and is generally just terrible. People are right to complain, and I sincerely hope they remove it.

On the other hand I think expecting them to really overhaul the graphics and include high-res textures and things on an unplanned console port scheduled for release in only four months is fairly ridiculous. It'd be nice certainly, but we're dealing with assets that were designed specifically for consoles. Similarly the KB+M support thing is regrettable but understandable. It was designed with gamepads in mind. I don't even see this as a huge deal though, it's very common at this point, and I honestly think that any PC gamer should own a gamepad. Not owning a gamepad at this point is like not owning a joystick way back when.

Honestly as long as the port is decently optimized, looks as good as the console versions (but in higher resolution), and doesn't do anything silly like hardlocking the game at 30FPS, I think they've done their job.

1. They are used to a M and KB, the least FROM and NAMCO can do is make it so it's possible to customize their controls! Sure it'll play like shit, but PC gamers are used to it, and it might not be so shit for them. Also, not all PC gamers are rich, and the cheapest gamepads I've seen look retarded.

2. It isn't the same experience, PC gaming is a lot different from Console gaming, they have more variety, they are used to tinkering and customizing, they are not accustomed to gamepads, or not being able to change their graphics settings or mapping their controls. They might be getting more content, but the "same" experience, it is not.

3. I don't know much about this shit, but is it really that hard to make it so you can change resolutions?

4. It's a straight up PORT. They aren't making a PC game, they're taking a console one and shoving it into a computer, not willing to trim any edges so it fits better. A round peg and a square hole.

5. Most people just wanted GFWL gone from what I've seen, what's this more and more, Steam?
