04/13/12(Fri)21:16 No.135940915>>135940186 >You're missing the point. Regulation is good. Slippery
slope. Some regulation is good, too much regulation is bad, damaging
and expensive. The Soviet Union was completely regulated, and it fell
apart while free enterprise prospered.
As soon as augs start
being regulated, governments will spend billions of dollars to control
and invade privacy of the people to make sure noone is using illegal
augs. Taxes will be put in place, increasing the price of augs so only
the richest have access to it. Underground aug markets will grow in
size, along with the militias to protect such markets, spelling a new
source of revenue for organized crime. The people will walk between Big
Brother and crime lords. If you want an example, imagine the drug war in
the US or third world country, multiply it by 100, since augs have a
direct impact on human lives.
Regulation will effectively kill more people than any corporation would. Your only point is that I'm an edgy teenager. |
