Well, not counting the novelisation of Warhammer Mark of Chaos (for obvious reasons), it would be the new James Bond novel "Carte Blanche".

It's sort of a modern reboot of the literary Bond, in no way related to the films at all. On one side, it portrays spying pretty accurately, what with tons of red tape and whatnot, but on the other hand, you'd get to be James Bond.

Still, I'm not halfway through and as of yet, Bond has been shot at in Serbia and been inside an old building as it is being demolished, and, well, on Hard, that could be a problem.

I'm 28 years old and a read my first book ( Out of free will ) 2 years ago.

Now I love reading books. Just find something that really interests you. A book can't be replaced by any format.

Getting lost in a book is very powerful experience imo. There isn't anything like it. When you enter that zone when you are no longer aware of what is around you and the fact that you are reading a book then you will understand.

At that point reading and staying focussed isn't work anymore. It's an automated experience in your own imagination.

Well the last book I actually finished was Metro 2033

on Ranger Hardcore or whatever the top level difficulty is called...I'm fucked.

Other than that I'm reading the first of the Mars Trilogy by Kim Stanley Robertson which is actually a really good novel.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_trilogy
It's delicious hard sci-fi which I love. A game based on it would probably be a faction war between the Reds and the terraformers, or the Martians and the Terrans. In fact I think Red Faction was based in part on this book, there's a lot of similar themes: Transnational corporations trying to control the Mars colonists etc.
The game wouldn't stick to the novel closely because it's a lot of talking and politics and science but I think from a different and more action-y angle it would work out. On hardest difficulty I probably wouldn't be able to complete it with only 1 life because I'm not that good at videogames in reality.

I actually find pleasure in reading, I've always been antisocial and bookish. My mom found me during my 4th birthday party hiding in a corner. Reading. So my antisocialism and social awkwardness, as well as a love of reading and -10 glasses prescription, have been with me my whole life.

I'm honestly not sure how that'd turn out as a vidya. Don't even know what it'd be. A puzzle game? Doubt it'd be anything involving enemies. I swear to God, if any of you retards propose it'd involve ANYTHING Lovecraft-related...

I just finished The Book Thief and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? kind of simultaneously.

The narrator in The Book Thief is Death, so I'm not sure how I could be challenged on hard mode, unless I play the actual book thief and have to avoid all the dangers in Nazi Germany while writing a book and sheltering a Jew. That would be pretty neat.

As for Electric Sheep, I've head of a Blade Runner game and it's apparently in the same universe but it follows a different character. I wouldn't mind a sort of L.A. Noire-like questioning system and then the bounty hunting would be cool. Probably would be too easy, though!

I don't like fiction books for the most part. I haven't read one in absolute millenias. I mostly read educational books on topics I might like. Last book I read was Jesse Schell's Art of Game Design, which ironically would probably make a shitty game.

I think I'm coming off as a snob faggot, though. I'm not, I just really don't like fiction. Even in vidya, I never care much for the story.

Just make it into the savage hangs himself after seeing what the modern world is like and trying to get away but just ending up as another source of entertainment and emotional stimulant for the masses as the man in self imposed squalor. But that's just an idea.
