That's all I know, haven't played the game. I've read that side-quests work differently this time. Some you need to finish right away, some you can do whenever the fuck and the other have time-limits, but you can fuck around before doing them.

On the Citiadel and other places, you can be walking and it'll pick up the conversation the people are having. You automatically get a mission to help them. There's a time limit on them, with no visible time, and if you keep on walking around, you'll get more and more missions and you can't fucking do them all in time. Also, some of the squad missions are timed. On the whole, the whole actual game is fucking timed. There's a limit before the reapers take over and it decides what ending you get.

Protip: you can't just take any aspect of the game and then expect everyone to be outraged by it

There are already dozens of reasons to be disgusted by ME3, but having time limits isn't a flaw.

It's actually what would have been needed in ME1 to give a sense of urgency, whereas you could visit the whole galaxy before finally deciding to go to Ilos, and you would arrive at exactly the same time as Saren does.

Not that ME3's story of taking back the Earth attacked by retarded Reapers by gathering support around the Milky Way makes any sense or will be credible, but time limits are good.

fun fact: if you completely ignores the Rescue Liara thing until the last minute, you find she's gone a little crazy in that bubble. and when you present everything you'd discovered in just a couple hours playtime before finding her, outdoing her entire life's research, she actually has a nervous breakdown.

so what i can gather the complaints in this thread are...

isn't that a good thing? i mean with all the reapers and shit it wouldn't make much sense to be able to do everything at a slow pace.

that sucks for a lot of dedicate fans but i've always tweeked the face anyway with every new playthrough so it's not a big deal personally.

i see it like this, /v/ was obsessed with ME2 then DA2 came out and suddenly ME2 was shit, now ME3 is getting a load of shit too... as long as it's similar to ME2 then i'll like it, hell the demo was pretty good.

You know, when the buzz for Assassin's Creed 2 was in full swing literally every new piece of information about the game made me want to play it even more.

ME3 is like the Bizarro AC2. I wish there was a way I could not pay for it multiple times.

Not having time limits is stupid. Remember Oblivion where you need to do things at certain times like meet a person somewhere at midnight and you can blow them off for weeks or months and carry on as if you just talked a couple of hours earlier? If you don't respond to things right away then there should be a risk of you not completing that quest.

I remember purposefully avoiding the arguing quarian and volus at the citadel until I had Tali on my team just so I can experience the unique dialogue. They were still arguing at the same spot after I finished two missions. Shit's stupid.
