1. Have they done anything to fix the most godawful signup/administration I've ever bloody seen? SquareEnix, with FFXI and FFXIV have these crazy logins and passwords, several for different things etc... its the worst system imaginable. Pretty much EVERY other MMORPG has made it easier to create/update an account, subscribe and get playing. The guys who designed the UI on Japanese cell phones (ie. Nestled 8 menus down? A common function? Sure!) made this shit. Has it improved?
2. I hear there is going to be the chance to get exclusive stuff prior to the "big world changing cataclysmic" patch. Is that still possible now? Is it all stuff that you need to be max level for or grind for eternity?

Trying to decide if I should give it another try.

Firstly, I must say I was one of the retards that played the open beta and still preordered the CE because I was hoping the game would get fixed and be fun. I wanted to like the game, but it continued to be a disappointment. I was hoping it would be as fun as FFXI while drastically improving upon it. I even came back to the game once after release when it was F2P and I still didn't enjoy it.

The game has a horrible general interface. Nothing is up to today's standards with typical drag and drop UI features.
The physical environments are horrible. There's little incentive to explore or go anywhere besides where your levequests tell you to go. There's no sense of a free and open world; it is horribly obvious that you are being bounded in the zone by arbitrary walls.
The class system is unique, but it was brought out horribly. I can't pinpoint what makes it so horrible right now, but I can tell you it's bad.
All of the features that make a game nice and fun in today's mmo's are missing in this. It is tedious rather than 'hardcore.'
