    He gets to do one game of his own and then its back to Smash Bros. Its a damn shame, it really seems like enjoyed doing Uprising. Don't get me wrong, I love the fuck out of some Smash Bros., but it seems like he wants to do more of his own shit like this.

    Yeah I saw this earlier. A few impression
    The multiplayer looks like it takes a few ideas from Air Ride's City Trials, as well as Smash Bros. He even has a 3 part assemble-able super item to fight over. You know, just like the dragoon. Damn he must like those things. He also likes reusing menus.

    Everything looks really nice. But what I'm really excited for is the 9 difficulty modes. No more easy ass Nintendo shit.

    It's like a non-shitty version of Nintendo's super guide-whatevers. Not only is it not in your face and frustrating when you start to lose, it'll actually encourage casual to get better because they lose hearts for going super low.

    Check out the streetpass features. They don't suck! You can get "weapon gems" from anyone you pass that also has KI. You can use the weapon fusion system to fuse the weapon gems with your weapons, cash them in for a few hearts to get the weapon in the gem, or just redeem the gems for free hearts.

    Too bad this shit works better in Nippon. What are the chances of passing too many people who have both a 3DS and KI

    Am I the only person that doesn't like Sakurai much?

    I used to like him before Smash Bros. Brawl came out and he implemented anti-competition mechanics to try to force the game to be party-mode only.

    Forced tripping, slow gravity, no manual L-Cancelling, knockback reduction in addition to damage reduction for using stale moves, the removal of directional air dodging, etc.

    Melee was extremely fun as both a party game and in its own competitive scene. In those days both scenes coexisted fine. Ever since Brawl came out, it just destroyed the good part of the competitive scene because of how much the game was changed. In many ways it got worse, mechanically. In some ways it got better.

    I really do hope Sakurai did learn his lesson though. I'm just not happy with how Brawl turned out and frankly I'd rather have someone else direct the next Smash game. Way too much focus was put into the crappy adventure mode that nobody liked anyways.


    Kid Icarus Uprising looks fun though, even if it's just about nothing like the previous Kid Icarus games.
