It's just the problem with having a really good (or really bad) game nominated for more than one category.

Imagine a typical video game award thing, with nominations like best sound / art / graphics / gameplay etc. Imagine there are mostly great games, but there's one absolutely fantastic game that blows them all away.

That one game would win every single award, and it would be a shit award show.

That's kind of what happened with Portal 2 and Dragon Age 2. Need either a panel of judges to make the results varied but still fair (if a game's already won 2 awards, you can let it pass on the minor voice acting or whatever one), or a bigger range of games and limit how many categories a game can be nominated for. I was pissed that Dark Souls wasn't nominated for more categories, it had a good chance for GOTY or even voice acting.

Putting aside the horrible award winners (Valve and Bastion everywhere), the awards actually were pretty decent.
Some of the skits were just retarded and unfunny, but not all of them.

Personally I thought it was good overall, but it lacked more voting (perhaps bigger advertising? I remember seeing quite a few threads, but apparently it didn't spark enough interest), some of the skits were terrible, and others weren't bad but dragged on too long. Then there's the fact that some of them kept being repeated, like TORtanic and Shazbot jokes.

I enjoyed the /v/GA, they were fun.
