I liked this show. Probably the last of the "old generation" of Nickelodeon.

In the UK it aired on CITV. It was the perfect show to watch on a Friday afternoon when you came home from school.

I liked ATBG. It had great writing and some very likeable character.

I wish Csupo hadn't drawn it though. I like his art-style, but it only works in certain context, and it didn't really fit here.

Rugrats was shit. It was a bunch of episodes about fucking nothing. The characters were obnoxious and ugly, and the only good thing to come from it was LOL IT'S FOUR IN THE MORNING.

Even as a kid, watching that show was unbearable. You might as well just replaced that show with ads between Rocko and Pete & Pete and I probably would have been less annoyed.

The interracial tension with the black kid kinda disturbed me as a kid.

My memory of Recess was that it was only ever on "Diggit" on Saturday/Sunday mornings.

Of course the perfect Friday afternoon show is obviously "The Weekenders"

Never went out of my way to watch it but I didn't think it was bad.
It always gave me a sour feeling in my stomach though. To me it was a show about a dysfunctional family just barely scraping by. At any moment I felt like shit could get real and everyone would die or someone would get AIDs or something.

Ginger was my secret guilty pleasure. The shit her little brother did was fucking hilarious.

Recess was awesome in that it captured that bizarre surreal nature that only elementary school embodies, where you hear about weird things behind the door none of the teacher open, the weirdo kids who did the same shit everyday, etc.

Weekenders was a bit weak but I liked that they changed their clothes.
