12m will buy you what you had when you played RS and then some. Whips are 400k, full barrows is dirty ass cheap, D boots are 100k. You can play the game and have fun with 12m, easily.

However, the value of the GP has gone done (if that makes sense). 50m back in like, 03-06 is equal to probably 120m+ now days.

I remember actually buying a guide on how to make money in the game. It was 30 pages of "buy lobsters in karamja and sell them in the falador bank XD". Worst buyer's remorse ever.

Barrows may degrade, but the defense capabilities are better, and they arnt over priced bullshit like the dragon plate.

The -best- Imo setup you can get is fighter body OR bandos plate, and tassets and a nezitnot helm. If not that, then dragon platelegs are the cheaper alternative to bandos tassets and a fighter body, a semi free version of the bandos chestplate

Skip bandos, use that money for skilling. The only time I would suggest it is if you have nothing else to buy skill wise, and are on your way to getting torva. Seriously, there's so much more potential with 32m than if you bought bandos with it.

Jagex removed Free players from the hiscores to make it more competitive, but all it did was make a large part of the community pissed off.

I did Monkey Madness at level 32. I always received compliments on my dragon scimitar. But then the pure craze started and my accomplishment wasn't as impressive.

I hated the community. Mainly because everyone was stupid. I played for years, yet only reached the 90s in combat level. (spent most of 2005-2009 in the 30s-70s, played everyday) I knew literally everything about the game and was constantly amazed at how players 80+ in level knew nothing.

Skill capes killed the game.

When you die, you keep certain items+ 3 items worth money.

You then respawn at a hub that is close to you, or a respawn you chose (ie: Lumby, Fally: Soulwars, Or Cammy)

Then a tombstone falls where you died, and holds your shit there for however long the tomb lasts. the best ones last 12/15 minutes, MORE than enough time to get back to anywhere, usually.

TL:DR This game no longer has any scare factor when you die.
