There is no need for my friends to know everything I'm doing, all the time. I value my privacy. I see no need for my personal life to be integrated into a content delivery service.

I added it to my Steam account and now some guys who I haven't talked to in at least 5 years have added me.

We've added each other and our conversations so far have been:

Because I don't need to show people I'm a gamer, I don't care if people know or not, but it doesn't belong on a social networking site. Also the only people I see that do this are no life neckbeards who's only wall updates are by themselves.

I honestly don't care much about Steam since I for some time now, consoles are my main gaming platforms but even if that wasn't the case, I'm quite proud of gaming as one of my passions(other being blues). I've been fairly open about expressing my love for games to my girlfriend, my friends and my folks.

It's like this: When people ask me what I do for fun, the first two things that come to my mind is vidya and playing blues on my guitar. The latter is fueled by listening to B.B. King, Freddie King and Eric Clapton, the former is a result of my father bringing back Doom in contact disks one day after work when I was 5-6. I'm 23 now, I deeply enjoy both.

But if I had to choose, I think I'd choose vidya. Because... It's fucking vidya, bro. Girls can leave you, friends can ditch you, you might lose your talent for playing guitar but vidya will stay forever.

Do not have real facebook. I have good enough social life with my family, and it is only better that my name can't be googled and linked to some crappy social media site.

I also have good relations to my real friends and steam is my facebook as in tool to chat to them when online. Steam is pretty much endorsed sticking point and keep touch with over 20 real life friends with it, aside the 200 I never met

I did create a fake one with fake name for the steam summer achievements or whatever, it has no friends and I already forgot it's password
