Seriously pisses me off when the dungeons are full of pressure plate and tripwire traps, but the traps are pointless as you can safely stand in the fire/arrows/spikes/axes without dying even at very low levels.
Only dangerous traps are the spike walls at 100 hp.
Once you get even a single level of hit points they are pretty much unable to kill you.

Ulfric is worse, and the Thalmor, whose hands Ulfric is playing right into, is worse still. The Thalmor are basically SS who are out to secure the utter subjugation of everyone under the Master Race.

Ulfric is similar, but it's Nord nationalism. The shit he pulled against the Forsworn is unforgivable.

The Empire is just Rome. Yes, they were brutal to all who opposed them, but if you pay taxes and acknowledge the emperor, you can do what you want. They don't care about your religion, your business, your skin color. They just want order and stability.

As for the torture - yes, that's horrible. But I doubt there's a faction in the game that doesn't do it.

I've killed several Thalmor patrols because they attacked me after a conversation (If you keep talking they will end up attacking you no matter what you choose to say, what assholes). In response, I got some Thalmor assassins. No other effects so far, but I haven't played the main quest much.
