It varies greatly, some are nice while others are complete assholes.

The other day I managed to get a host through Anor Londo from across the bridge until the very end, killing off 4 invaders without getting a single drop of healing from the host (such hosts I won't waste Humanity on) so I get super Ornstein to about 1/10th of his life when I die to lag (I had very little health).

Go to a blacksmith, i assume you're in undead parish, once you get to the church go to the right to a bridge that appears to lead into a ruined building being eaten by the forest, Andre the blacksmith is in there along with a bonfire, he'll upgrade your weapons and armor and you can build items from him that will allow you to upgrade them on bonfires.

Initially I thought there was some propaganda things going on by calling the age of humanity "the dark" to give it a bad connotation when it really is just an age without fire. I really supported the idea that Frampt was pulling your leg because Gwynevere backed him and we all know the deal behind her.

But then I talked to Anastasia and she was so happy that you were going to link the fire. And she's a Fire Keeper so she's on the fucking ball, which means that EVERY other Fire Keeper was also on the ball. Then I did some thinking and realized that Kaathe mentioned "others who failed" who were strong "but did not see the truth". If Kaathe was telling the truth, then these "strong" people clearly could not have been that strong because the guardians of the two goddamn bells are still there.

Linking the fire is the way to go. But really, I don't care what the truth is, I'm happy that the game gave me a chance to think about this meaningless thing in such depth.

Why does everyone say Havel's is the best armor (specifically heavy armor) in the game? Isn't Smough's armor just better? It's 5 pounds less than Havel's and the only thing Havel's does better is have +10 more poise, but Smough's is vastly superior in every other way.
