They added the marketplace. They added that drop system.

They ruined it with their Korean MMO shit.

I hate Valve for that. A game I loved so much and they shoved right into it. I tried to play around it, but I knew the game just wasn't that great anymore. My favorite server's regulars all became losers obsessed with hats. They didn't care about the capping the point. All they did was trade hats and talk about unusuals.

Alright bros, I haven't played TF2 in about a year (just after the last Halloween patch was when I uninstalled).

How much have I missed? How long would it take to get all the worthwhile new weapons? Are pubs still 99% clueless snipers? Do you still need £20 hats to get the set bonuses? Is primarily playing medic on pubs still fucking annoying because nobody knows how to use a goddamn uber?

Not too long. Pretty sure they all go for a scrap each in trading. And you can get them through drops/crafting too, of course.

Yes.

The price has gone down, but you still need them. However, Valve quickly learned the error of their ways. The Australian Christmas update added three item sets that don't involve hats. Since then they've only been doing item sets with no bonus at all. But all the item sets (except MAYBE Saharan Spy) are shit anyway, so who cares?

Got me and my bf the entire haunted set in case Valve does do a ninja update on the Haunted items, also got me and him a Teddy Roosebelt, got me a pocket medic and a V. V. Tyrolean as well as a key with which I got Strange Fists out of a crate, gave the bf about 12 refined or so for crafting, crafted a few hats myself and got a Mutton Chops + Brainslug... and still have refined to spare.

And I still have a few leftovers since halloween items dropped in popularity a few days in making it almost impossible to bulk sell anything. Also had to buy a backpack expander since I was less than 10 spaces out of room at one point so I had to delete some shit hats.
