Who the fuck should I be killing around soul level 40? I have been to Quelaag and Sif but both seem to whoop my ass. Quelsag is a fucking whore so much goddamn lava and shit. Sif I only fought once though im sure I could kill him but i went into the fight with like 2 flasks.

Also goddamn is it even worth upgrading some weapons into Magic, divine, lightning, fire, etc...? I'm using a +5 Iaito right now and i seems like the B in dex gain is better than what I would get out of it making it Magic or lightning or whatever.

I just killed Ornstein first. On my first try, I killed Smough first, so Ornstein got super fuckhuge. He would impale me with his spear and take about half of my health away. If I hadn't had like 450+ physical defense I'd die instantly. Plus Ornstein drops his Leo Ring if you kill him first. ALSO: note that you get the second person you kill's soul:

Ornstein's Soul + Spear/Rapier = Dragonslayer Spear. His Spear. It throws lightning with R2
Smough's Soul + Hammer = Smough's Hammer. Drains 10HP on hit, 2H R2 is a jumping swing.

Not sure if this has been answered, but it eventually will. At first, the only thing that'll upgrade your damage is upgrading your pyromancy flame. Eventually, however, you'll upgrade it enough times that INT will start to scale.

I think its bonuses are a little weak, though.

The thing is comically huge to the point of obscuring your vision, and when your guy drinks a potion or whatever the gigantic thing just vanishes into thin air. When you do wave gestures it flies all over the place.

I've got it at +5 and it fucking rapes shit. I went to go try it out on those guys in the forest and I was one shotting them. I don't even have the 58 strength to one hand it, so I have no idea what those attacks look like - the two hand light attack is pretty quick and has a hitbox the size of uranus. It leeches a little bit of HP too, perfect weapon to use with iron flesh.

Also been playing around with Havel's armor and dragon dildo...did you know his set gives you like 120 fucking curse resistance? Maybe I'll revisit the depths after all. Also the dragon tooth says that it protects vs fire and magic...any way to tell exactly what that buff is? I see a new icon underneath my health bar, so it must be working, but my stats haven't changed.

It's not too bad, and having a decent shield and a fair amount of endurance makes it easier because you can always just block their attacks.
The only annoying one is the one before the wolf ring, because he hangs out in a narrow little hallway. You can lure him out though.
