STALKER 2 info 2/2
10/01/11(Sat)03:49 No. 111961123 >New interview (translation of a translation): The development of STALKER 2 is at about 50% completion. Early videos and screenshots will be revealed only 2 or 3 months before the release of the game. (Hopefully they're kidding.) STALKER
2 will take place in a single, very large map, without loading times,
and several different areas to cross. 50% of the map will consist of
places already seen in previous episodes. Strelok is the protagonist of the game, the player character. The RPG aspect is even more present than in Call of Pripyat. A
port to the Xbox 360 is almost certain, but they are having more
difficulty with the PS3 version. Regarding the latter, they will make a
decision during 2012. STALKER 2 might not have a multiplayer mode. There will be no women in STALKER 2 (contradiction to what they said earlier). During
development, the emphasis is put on the sounds, animations, models,
physics, and monsters. Sergiy also announced that there will be new
weapons. It may be possible to drive vehicles, but only to accomplish very specific quests. The game will be moddable, as much as the previous ones. The soundtrack of the game will be composed by MoozE, but not before the next 12 months. Currently, 60 people are working on STALKER 2. The budget for development is estimated at $3 million (it took 7 million for the first three episodes). None
of the first team to have worked on Oblivion Lost (the original
project, not the mod) is left at GSC. Many of them left for 4A-Games to
work on Metro 2033. Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Bd4WtIWrtw&feature=player_embedded
