I actually didn't mind the fighter.

With previous Ace Combats, it was prioritization of many enemies, but the actual act of locking on and shooting was trivial.

Now the act of locking onto an enemy is more than just a single missile...and it adds a *bit* to the game. But the dogfight thing feels so forced...sure it's neat and cinematic and isn't *completely* automatic, but it's still not good.

I don't know what to think.
The chopper was complete shit though.

I almost wish that I have not even seen this thread. Seriously I'm sad right now. The Ace Combat series has always been one of my favorites. It always had a good balance of arcade and simulation. They should of left the Ace Combat nae out of it and made it a new IP.

Honestly I don't care about regenerating health. It means combat can be more frantic than the old ones. Fuck dying to the last enemy because you only had a sliver of health left over from the rest of the missions.

Helicopters being terrible on the other hand...

The problem is that Easy mode has always been there, and it looks like there's checkpoints at every wave of new enemies (I crashed a few times during the demo just to try).

I hate how every game gets dumbed down without a real reason other than everyone else doing it.

I was really looking forward this game, and now I see this thread.

Can't donwload the demo now, but people seem to be flipping out, but now I hear it is just a tutorial. I even doubt the demo lets you change difficulty.

If I buy this game I'll only play it on max difficulty, and that the only difficulty I care about.
