    >Only one energy cell regenerates automatically.

This is the reason why Jensen never stops saying I never asked for this or I never had a choice etc.
Please tell me they're going to fix this soon.
    >> Anonymous 09/02/11(Fri)19:38 No.108895163
They're not going to. that's exactly what you have the regenerative items just fucking deal with it and upgrade the regenerate augmentation
    >> Anonymous 09/02/11(Fri)19:39 No.108895237

Original Deus Ex didn't have any regenerative energy.
Also, Takedowns would become way too good. Imagine being able to do 5 in a row without fear of not being able to use the energy on something else.
    >> Anonymous 09/02/11(Fri)19:40 No.108895364
It's because the takedowns would be broken otherwise so they had to pull this crap to balance the game.

Of course it never tells you that only the first cell regenerates so a bunch of people will have wasted praxis points on this.

Why are Adams arms so shitty?
I mean, are they eco friendly or something? Because they have no power at all. I could beat the shit out of more than one guy without having to rest 40 seconds just to punch him in the face.
And also he gets tired from lifting refrigerators and he crosses his arms while talking even if they're not real and he doesn't need to do that.

    >lazy enemy A.I. the patrol animations are nice but repetitive.

    >crap bosses, both in character design and the fights. failed at copying MGS.

    >terribly animated CGI cutscenes instead of in-game ones. poorly done and breaks immersion.

    >using instant-gratification XP addiction system instead of objective based xp. this system is easily abused since spamming actions gets you exp or encourages quick unnecessary actions for xp. hacking is way too easy and a quick xp hack, not a means to acquire information or progress.

    >levels designed around having a few entry paths to the one location. literally no distance between them at times and again, allowing xp abuse by using several at once(think vents between adjacent rooms). then they are usually linear for the most part. levels should be traditionally designed and only then altered to be broken through by player augs, not designed around them.

    >changes to 3rd person perspective for cover and melee. makes stealth even easier and the melee combat simplistic. had the balls to ape MGS boss campaign badly but not attempt to include a FPS flavour of CQC. otherwise just copying Mass Effect, Alpha Protocol shit with lame linear campaign and TPS shooting.

    >barely dynamic world. static characters and vehicles. overused character models and faces. bad animations, choices never affect gameplay, just different VA lines.

All of the levels felt more like obstacle courses, instead of living environments.

Maybe that's what they were going for, but it was really boring once I realized that I could follow a bread crumb trail of specific obstacle types to the objective, instead of having to actually rely on clever use of augments in different combinations.

and your points are valid, but I still like the game

    XP:

Spamming? I don't think you can re-hack or re-kill anything. It would not really make any sense

    >levels designed around having a few entry paths to the one location

I see your point with this, but what do you mean by one location? If you have to go to the morgue, to pick up the neural hub for example, why would you think you could go to an entirely different location within the police station and receive the hub?

    >barely dynamic world. static characters and vehicles.

You do understand that static means not moving right? If i remember correctly the characters move quite a bit. And with the vehicle comment: do you really want this Adam to have to cross streets like a pedestrian? Would moving cars change anything at all?

yeah, but this isn't the elder scrolls.

the cities are not any different from any other play area.

and frankly, for a game that isn't pushing immersion that hard, there is nothing gained by giving NPCs a sleep cycle.

So uh what happened to that aug that makes your wrists rotate and you crush heads that you saw in the trailer?

Now that I think about it there was a shitload of stuff in the trailers we never saw in the game. When Barrett died I thought he would come back to life because he was in a cutscene in the trailer not shown in the game.

There's an outline around the breakable area if you have outlines turned on. Not sure if you have them turned off though.

there's always a similar crack on each.

otherwise, they'll show up if you have yellow highlights on.
