plays too heavily on sex appeal. I immediately have less respect for
any series that relies on sex appeal as much as this game does, and that
applies to all mediums.
This isn't an issue of being mature or
not, and anyone who tries to argue that it is should have their opinion
null and void. It's an issue of advertisers shamelessly playing of
carnal instincts in order to make their game noticeable. Face it, hardly
anyone would care about this game if it weren't for the provocative
artwork.
The story is interesting and the gameplay is fun, but
the popularity of the game stems almost entirely from the sex appeal
regardless, and the creators have been playing up on that aspect as much
as possible. I'm almost positive that is what everyone is upset about,
it's just that they are not very eloquent about explaining it and resort
to ad hominem instead.
Frankly, I don't take kindly to
advertising techniques like the ones used for this game. The money in
their pocket books is directly proportional to how hot they made the
characters in this game, whether you want to admit to it or not. And I
outright refuse to buy this game if they can't properly advertise it.
Petty,
I know, but if you need sex appeal to make money, then you probably
don't deserve it to begin with. I'm saving my cash for some other puzzle
game, maybe one that doesn't target neck beards so shamelessly. |
