Start with the original trilogy.

Only watch the new ones if you're really that bored. About the only selling point is flashier lightsaber fights. Everything else is mediocre to terrible.

Original Trilogy. Lucas is great at mythmaking, story arcs, and outlines. Unfortunately he is bad at dialogue and not the best at scene work. This was great for the original trilogy as it was a studio film with lots of input from other people. When he made the prequels he was in charge and only his opinion mattered.

OT. Preferably the "Despecialized" fan edits. They are reconstructions of the versions that orignally were shown in theaters. The only official versions has shitty CGI inserted over the god-tier models and puppets.

The story can be stupid or weak,but many of the characters are good or at least engaging.

Empire Strikes Back is the best
