It sort of sucks that they cancelled it, when I was a kid my only exposure to Doctor Who was the two movies with Peter Cushing that I loved, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Peter Davison marathons on UK Gold and the Paul McGann movie.

I wonder what a '90s Doctor Who series would have been like? Maybe it would have been great, maybe it would have been embarrassingly bad.

Budget always fucks the show over. Surely BBC has learnt their lesson, and Doctor Who is popular enough, that they don't need to destroy TARDIS sets when they're done. They should put them in some Doctor Who Museum for tourists or something and that way they can pop back in and film with any of them far into the future.

I recently bought the DVD of The Greatest Show in the Galaxy since I remembered watching it as a kid. It was my first exposure to Doctor Who. I have also been watching all the old stuff available on Netflix.

Has the BBC ever released like, a Mega-Collection of ALL of the Classic Doctor Who serials they have in their vaults?

I could have sworn I saw it once but nowadays all I can find is single DVDs of certain episodes. Never a full collection of Hartnell to McCoy.

I know I've seen a good deal of Pertwee's run and ALL of Fourth's, but that's only because my local PBS station used to show Classic Who. Then they stopped after Tennant's run began after showing Eccleston for a few months.

Everything else I really haven't seen. Well I did watch Castrovalva which was Five...and then The Aztecs and Tomb of the Cybermen because that was on the specials that BBC has been doing every last Sunday of the months.

She hasn't gotten a lot of characterization, so isn't the fullest character, but as of yet she hasn't done anything to make me feel negative toward her. Also she's got this unforced sexuality going for her. Like they're not trying to push her as hard as a love interest or sexual character yet, and that's given her a lot of time to be "qt" and endearing which is working for her. I haven't really made up my mind, but so far I'm leaning toward liking her. I hope to see how she gets developed, hopefully we'll get some good depth going on. We'll have to see how things pan out through the 50th and into series 8.

It's bad enough she killed the Doctor already through medical malpractice, but now she's gotta be all lovey about him at the worst possible moment. The writers really couldn't have found a better time to weasel that little clip-for-the-trailer in somewhere else?

Seriously. The only reason to watch the movie is for the Doctor. And Will Sasso.
