Over the past 48 hours 4chan's formspring page has gotten over 12,000 questions, and I've received over 3,000 e-mails. Many thanks to everyone who submitted a question, and sent me a message! I was able to respond to a few hundred e-mails and had hoped to start answering questions on formspring, but it seems that the number of questions broke the page. Once that's sorted out, I'll sift through them and answer as time allows. Thanks again for all of the support!

In other news, /rs/ now processes MediaFire/MegaUpload/Badongo links correctly (this had been broken for months). The old links should be updated in 24-48 hours. Thanks to Popcorn Mariachi for spontaneously appearing and fixing this.

....why the fuck was this line in the movie at all? It's not in context with the scene in particular, much less anywhere in the movie at all. There was no "terror" acts being done at all. I've got a question, /tv/...

Why do people insist on bringing up directors when talking about specific movies by the directors to make a point about the movie, instead of bringing up movies made by directors to make a point about the directors?

Look, I have a friend who is a GREAT guy, but he's like the embodiment of /tv/. I was talking to him the other day about Clerks (only Smith movie that I've seen that I've liked), and he goes into this tirade about Kevin Smith being a fat neckbeard, how all of his movies are shit, etc. etc. etc., and doesn't tell me a single reason why he didn't like Clerks.

Also, I've seen a lot of hate for Tarantino when people are just trying to discuss a specific movie. Seriously. I enjoyed Reservoir Dogs (City on Fire re-make, I know) and Pulp Fiction, and I tried talking about them with the same friend, and here he goes about how Tarantino is horrible and only fanboys like him etc. etc.

Seriously, if you don't like a movie, tell me why. Don't tell me why you hate the director. I don't care whose name is on the film. If I just instantly rejected anything by Tim Burton, I would never have gotten to enjoy Mars Attacks or Beetlejuice.

The Forever War is about to get a movie, so ITT: We discuss the things they might change.

I think the movie will start with Mandella sitting on the ship from Stargate to the Tauran outpost, and then all the background and all will be explained.

Also, in the book, in order to control overpopulation the UN promoted homosexuality, and after some time they discovered that heterosexuality was an emotional disorder, so everyone became gay (With the exception of a thousand people, mostly war veterans who remained alive so long thanks to time dilation). That shit will piss of a shitload of conservative guys, so they'll probably change it to something "softer" like a society where sex is forbidden and all babies are born in labs.
