    First let me start by saying that it surprised me in some ways. It kept a bit of the silliness that DB had, instead of going full Z action.

    Then let me continue by saying it is a bad movie. Zero character development (the main villain, who is the best cast role, only has like 3 lines in the whole movie), and TERRIBLE pacing. It jumps from scene to scene with no regard for the viewer.

    Kai is a re-make of the DBZ series, cutting a lot of the filler and supposedly following the manga closer, currently being aired in Japan. They are up to episode 53, and already at the end of the Frieza saga.

    I haven't seen it personally yet, and I've heard mixed reviews.
