secondly, it's not that, it's the DMCA. they're looking for people downloading copyrighted material. movies, music, that sort of thing. it's not a content issue. it's only copyrighted stuff i'm not allowed to download.

You don't get it do you? Schools don't even give a fuck about the internet provider, if THEY (the school) catches you, they can cut off your internet access. That means even if you change rooms, it will be on your record that you aren't allowed to have internet. It might be slightly different from school to school, but mine if you were caught torrenting you would just get what I said. If you were caught doing really bad shit like hacking or actual illegal stuff, you would be kicked out and banned from the school.
