There are two 3D theaters in my city. One with Dolby 3D, one with RealD. I take the glasses from one and return them at the other just to confuse the employees. Then I just alternate theaters and keep doing it.

I've only been to one, so I kept them. But I wouldn't keep more, no reason to "collect" them, past having one of each different type.

OP here, I keep mine every time I go because we have 3D monitors where I work (converting movies into 3D) and I'm always find a way to misplace them.

These things cost less than pennies to make, I guarantee it. The cost of manufacturing/shipping/distributing the glasses does not come CLOSE to $2, $0.50, or anything else. So there's no WAY I'm giving them back just so they can charge the next guy $2 for the glasses I wore.

why do you go out of your way to misplace them?

I know at the theatre I work at, the extra cost is to pay for the digital projectors required to show 3D movies because they're something like half a million EACH. So, I let people take as many 3D glasses as they want, regardless if whether or not they're even seeing a 3D movie.

maybe that would involve trolls showing up at a premier? and the biggest weapon they have is silly 3d glasses?

Honestly, I don't have a good answer. I'm not making them lose anything by not giving the glasses back, they're worthless. I don't throw them away like the other anon, though, I take them home and add them to my collection.
