I don't care. Its a fucking amazing movie and i think we should discuss why its the best horror movie of the decade.

Also, when was the "Jim is alive" ending shot? The getting saved scene looks like its much better film quality, while the deleted scene, where Jim dies, looks more like the rest of the film.

It was a weak movie. It wasn't even in the top 5 zombie movies of the decade, let alone the top 10 horror movies.

Zombie movies of the last decade better than 28 Days:

    Dawn of the Dead
    [REC]
    Zombieland
    Shaun of the Dead
    Fido

Dawn of the dead (2004) is ok but looses massive points for unoriginality. If it hadn't copied the greatest ever zombie film and became totally original (which would be very easy since it wasn't all that much like the original to begin with) it'd be a lot better.
Fido is underated but still nowhere near as good as 28 DAys Later.
Shaun- lol. Funny movie but not a good zombie film.
Pontypool- only film named that matches 28 Days Later for awesomeness.
[REC]- am I the only one who was bored as fuck with both the original and remake? Seriously you people rip on shit like Blair witch and Cloverfield but this is exactly the fucking same. It's in a different language so you think it's awesome and original?
Zombieland- and that's when I realized you were trollan.

Zombies are living dead. There are no living dead in 28 Days. That's why you don't know shit about zombie movies. Only a retard who doesn't even know what a zombie is could like 28 Days.
    >> Anonymous 02/27/10(Sat)12:25 No.7444630
    >>7443875
The main reason is should be because it changed the concept of zombies. Obviously, it's because of how they were portrayed. Zombies used to be portrayed as slow and you can easily kill them if you don't let them gang up on you.

Now with 28 Days Later, they're fast and agile. That what makes it THE best horror movie of the decade.

So much so that the Dawn of the Dead remake and recently Zombie land, actually adopted the 'fast zombie' approach from the 28 Days series.

Zombies are living dead, or people turned into undead slaves by a voodoo bokur. Those are the only two acceptable definitions of zombie. If a movie doesn't fit that, it's not a zombie movie. Period.

You can't just change the definition of a word willy nilly to fit some retard's movie.

Close, what makes it, and other films like Frailty, the best horror films is the reality of the horror.
The most graphic kills are humans killing other humans, or people who are just infected.

Those are rage virus infecteds. They are not zombies.
