    Hello /tv/.

I have never been a big of television. I mean, I could vent for hours on how bad television has become, how bad the acting and screenplay are and how predictable most, if not all the plots are.

Kudos if you can present to me a show that isn't Dexter, Lost, Sons of Anarchy or any cartoon that I would like.

Currently into movies by Van Sant and movies such as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and L.A. Confidential.

Rome is like a really long movie. If you're into history, you already know the premise and obvious fall of the empire.

Jonathan Creek, that I have not heard of and I got quite bored of Arrested Development after about 4 episodes.

Film > Televison by a long shot.

Film is art whereas Television exists only to sell to simple minded individuals who are pleased with a 30-60 minute dose of fantasy a week.

You won't like this. It's predictable and the writing is usually terrible. But all the same it's fucking awesome and has occasionally great stories.

You won't like it the first time you see it. Maybe not even the second time. But give it enough time and it will grow on you.

I couldn't agree more. It's the reason why I generally shy away from TV shows because I've learned to be disappointed by them. Most have an epic pilot episode, then everything else turns to low budget drama.

There are exceptions though. I particularly enjoy stuff from the UK.

    Nah not troll, it's true.

If your favourite tv show is a sitcom, it's already on shit tier.

If it's more ambitious it has potential but only if it's not full of faux drama. I don't think I can name a single good American TV show that isn't full of drama, or where the drama is the focal point and not plot development.

Guy you quoted is a troll or a retard, or a retarded troll.

    We report, you decide.

The average person watches 6+ hours of television a day. Children in westernised countries, watch more television daily on average than they spend in school.

Reports have been created, scientific studies have been reviewed. The results are the same every time.

People watch too much media and the ones who watch the most have the lowest intellect on average.

There are exceptions to every rule, but not everyone is a precious unique snowflake.
