Mads Mikkelsen here was powerful. He was Le Chiffre from James Bond, and he has retained a lot of the ruthlessness, but also has pathos, too. I didn't expect the guy to be able to act this well.

Loved the film. The director used some motifs from Army of Shadows by Melville, and it shows in the film. And for a 'cheap' Hollywood film [were it shot there, I mean] (at 7.5 million USD!?) it's a great one.
