I watched the pilot. It seemed like a clone of Nurse Jackie, except the cast is better looking but can't act quite as well.
--main
character is an experienced Nurse, knows more about medicine than most
of the doctors where she works. both are emotionally unstable. Nurse
Jackie's due to a problem with prescription pills, Mercy's because of
PTSD from Iraq. both are married, and both are cheating on their
husbands with men who work at the hospital.
--strong female
character who works alongside the main character. both characters are
sexually aggressive and think highly of themselves. The difference is
that Nurse Jackie's (british doctor) is a doctor who can afford the
lifestyle; Mercy's (black nurse) is a nurse who can't afford it, and
instead relies on being a gold digging whore (she stated that ordering
the lobster did not mean she had to put out- bitch).
--inexperienced, smug, asshole doctors who know so little it's surprising they made it through med school
--sweetly
innocent nurse, new to the hospital, wears bright smocks covered in
cartoon characters (whose fucking idea was it to make Trachtenberg the
sweet innocent nurse?! huge fucking mistake. everyone knows she works
best as the skank.)
--male character with whom the main
character has a close emotional bond; turns to him for emotional
support, discussions about life, etc. Nurse Jackie's is a gay male
nurse; Mercy's is the main character's brother.
