09/24/09(Thu)23:12 No.4950574Continued from >>4950563 : The
main reason for this is because when I got too old for PBS Kids and too
smart for the programing on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon when I was
12, I felt like the only option was the primetime programing on cable
and the broadcast channels, and many of the programs they offered did
not appealed to me at all for the same reason in the first paragraph.
At the time, I had video games, but it was not an option during school
days, and I was often stuck in the house after homework (I was too
young for a drivers license, I had no job, and lived in an area where
the major areas of where teens are were accessible by car only) ,so I
often leave the TV on for background noise and most of my free time was
consumed by the internet.
To this day (I'm in college now as an
adult aged 21), most of the time I have the tv on as background noise
while on the internet or studying for my classes in college. Because
most tv does not appeal to me at all.
Do you have the same feeling as me? ------------- tl;dr:
Most prime time tv programs do not appeal to me, even the popular ones
since I graduated from PBS Kids. I mostly use tv as background noise.
(In
before video games, Xbox 360 and iTunes has HD programs, torrents,
YouTube, Hulu , DVDs (because I have plenty and to be honest I have not
even watching all of my collection) |
