Both versions are good, but I was specifically referring to the US version. You mentioned that you liked How I Met Your Mother, which I also enjoy, but The Office is less of a sitcom than HIMYM is.

I'm not big on Westerns usually either but Deadwood is really doing it for me. Definitely give it about 6 episodes before you give up on it though.
