    FIVE NEW CLIPS!
    FIVE NEW CLIPS!
    FIVE NEW CLIPS!

Not sure if anyone's posted this yet. I think I shall reserve judgment for the film as a whole, but it looks very good, but for some strained dialogue and such. But it has ROBERT MOTHERFUCKING DUVALL IN IT, which I had no idea of!

Yeah, but the character he plays has about 8 lines spread over two pages of the book. Don't get all that excited. Guy Pearce has no lines.

If he plays the veteran, who, if I'm not mistaken, is the guy who comes at the end of the book and discovers the kid and his father, than yes... yes he does.

You mean Pearce? I think he plays the guy who gets flared. If Duvall is either the guy in the end or the guy they meet that wasn't kicked out of the bloodcult, then he doesn't have that many lines. I don't even know why they credit anyone but Viggo.

Duvall plays the bumbling old dude who they share some food with. He gets a bit of dialogue with Viggo and the boy and then just Viggo.

Pearce is credited as "The Veteran", who, if my memory serve correct is the last guy they encounter in the book (or at least, that character is described as looking like a "veteran"), he has dialogue with the boy.

And I'm pretty sure that Dillihunt guy plays one of the guys from the roving death squad, the one that attempts to kill the boy. Those are the only speaking parts asides from the flashback scenes with his wife, the thief and the bitch who is with the guy who gets shot with the flare.

Why the fuck would you cast Guy Pearce in a non-speaking part? And why the fuck is Guy Pearce playing all of these bit parts suddenly? Like in The Hurt Locker.

I must admit I have not looked at the IMDB for the movie. I just thought that it looked like Pearce was the guy rolling around on the floor in pain in the trailer. Either way, all of these people do not have big parts in the book. Like the wife.

I dunno. Guy Pearce is awesome though. I think I'll go watch Ravenous again. Love that movie.

You're right, they don't, but they are the only other characters in the novel that have speaking parts.

Though, from what I gather through the trailers and the early reviews of the films, Charlize Therons part has been expanded, which as an avid fan of McCormac and the book, I am completely against.

They'd better not explain what happened either to the world either.
