Random realization: The McCallisters had a doggy door in the kitchen, but they don't own a dog.

All American houses have doggy dogs, this is because all American families will eventually get dogs.
    >> Anonymous 07/02/09(Thu)19:58 No.4057132
Maybe there dog recently died and they didn't want to talk about it because of painful memories
    >> Anonymous 07/02/09(Thu)19:59 No.4057135
What make you think they were the first family to live in that house, friendo?

seems if they didn't already have the dog they would have sealed it up... they were putting their house in unnecessary danger

Very true. Pig Americans are so paranoid.

They left it in Cambodia in the Home Alone prequel and chinks ate it.

The movie was released in 1990, so presumably the doggy door was installed sometime in the 1980s, and we have no reason to assume the family moved in days earlier so they must have been there for years, meaning 1980s is right and you are a retard.

Also there was no Year Zero, so 1990 is the tenth year of the 80s.

soooo, the year 2000 wasn't the new millinium?

1980 was the tenth year of the 70s. 1981 was the first year of the 80s.

Nope. January 1st 2001 was the first day of the new millennium.

    >>4057259
    Thought wrong, friendo.

The first ten years are years 1 though 10. The second decade is 11 thought 20, not 10 through 19. No year 0, because zero isn't a counting number – you can't count zero objects, and it wouldn't make any sense to say the year you're in doesn't exist.

I've had five dogs in my life and never once did I have a doggy door. That shit is for lazy people.

I got one because my dog would never decide whether he wanted to be inside or outside, and getting up to open the door every ten seconds was beginning to be a hassle.

New to thread, the dude is correct, officially 2000 years had passed since the switch from BCE/AE on Jan.1 2001. The first year was year one, there was no year zero. So the first day in the AE calender was Jan.1, 0001(zeros for the laymen).

0001+2000 = 2001 Jan.1, 2001 was technically the first day of the new millennium. Even though everyone celebrated when the dial hit 2000.
