i thought this movie was good, it may have been the acid i was on in the movie theater, but i watched it recently and i still thought it was pretty good, for what it has to offer . . . . .

it was a mess but a quite enjoyable one.

I haven't watched it in 12 years, but I remember enjoying it and being genuinely frightened by it.

It was like Silent Hill meets Stargate SG1

Yeah, the editing in his movies is beyond shit. There are some really awful cuts in Event Horizon. Great premise and some really good things in the movie. I think it ends up falling flat by the end though.

Saw it. Nothing special, just a few more gore and rape scenes. It wasn't that it was too scary, it was more of a censorship and time constraints issue. The rape scenes border on fake snuff.

When I saw the final cut, I feel that the studio was right this time. The over abundance in gore didn't do the film any good. The small cuts and the screams, leaving the rest of the details to the audience's minds, that's stuff Se7en was made of.

tl;dr Shit is better than the original cut.
