It first I was hyped, but then...

I don't mind the first-person perspective. The first was like that.

What I am slightly concerned about is that the second film will be more action than horror. When you involve the military in a movie from the beginning, it tends to not be all that suspenseful. there's just too much SHOOTSHOOTSHOOT and RUNRUNRUN.

Theres no point in explaining. This is 4chan, a place where over 95% of the visitors play video games religiously. Of course they're going to argue that first person is a totally engaging experience. They don't realize that for people that don't play video games very often, especially not first person ones, it's a very disorienting medium. FPP is basically the way to make movies for "the video game generation", not movies for wide audiences.

It takes setting up, yes. But the set up is to make sure that the shot functions, not to ensure that it looks interesting or accurate, usually it's planned out to draw your eyes to different locations on the screen. Guiding your eyes is the only real part that takes any talent and most people have no idea how to do that.

You are an idiot. Think about what subjective means.
Alright now that you've done that: Realize that FPP is a subjective shot.

    >Because the director ops for a FPP shot because the director is too lazy to go through the trouble of setting up a subjective shot that would draw the audience in just as much as a FPP shot would.

Sure looks like that guys agreeing with you. Not the same guy, therefore you have no right quoting him as me.

I was pointing out that you have no idea who you're arguing with due to the fact that you don't know what the word subjective means.

I interpret that as a moronic attempt to explain why FPP is lazy cinematography. If you're not the genius that wrote that, you are the one that has no point being in this discussion.
