there is a real mitochondrial eve you know, so why not have it be Hera?

it was Head 6 and Baltar in the future.

Cavil etc, even if they survived the attack, all died out 15,000 years ago. Without sentient centurions, their technology withered away too.

Humans may develop cylons again but may not, implying the cycle of destiny is broken.

Kara was dead all along, she realized her nature at the moment of the jump

The destroyed earth they found was the original earth, which fit the constellations as they looked 150,000 yrs ago.

The new earth, after 150,000 yrs now has these stars on its zodiacal plane

    but

We never learn who god is.

We never learn how there came to be humans on earth already

so these 2 things we will have to accept as gods will.

    Still
BEST ENDING EVER (to a SF show)

No cities, guns, ships, we'll just go back to spears and OOGA BOOGA cuz you know, cycle of violence.

    WHAT ABOUT PLAN B?

Why the fuck would they answer questions so relavant to everyone at any given time like that? It's amazing that they made people question it. I mean even if you ask 'Who is God, where did we come from in Battlestar Galactica' it kind of has a looot of meaning now.... It was fantastic.

I hated the whole "LETS LEAVE OUR TECHNOLOGY BEHIND AND BE HIPPIES" bullshit. I know some people would be like, "Fuck you, Adama. My kid's got asthma. You see inhalers growing on trees, dipshit?" I think I would have gathered a group of like-minded folks and salvaged the fleet so we could be like gods and rule over the savages.

Also, I want a show about the Centurions' space adventures.

they were living a very deprived existence as it was. Earth is like paradise to them. There were only 35,000 plus the cylons.
But ultimately, only Hera's descendants survived. If Hera had not been brought to earth, humans would have gone extinct.

Remember Hera was always the most important character in the show and now we know why.

And if thay had salvaged some of their technology to rapidly manufacture infrastructure they still could have gotten on with all the peace and love bullshit and also made sure that no one would recreate the cylons by being around to remember what got them here in the first place.

I can understand why the fleet had to go for the sake of the story, but the luddite reasoning and complete lack of dissent, more so the lack of dissent, made it feel like it was just bullshit lazy writing to rush the end and cut off any loose ends without actually doing any work.

STARS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY.
The constellations are formed by our position relative to the stars for the same constellations to come about in the same spots is just stupid.

But the whole finally reeked of "lol god did it" so I guess if humans could evolve seperately on Earth then the stars bs isn't too far off, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
    >> Anonymous 03/20/09(Fri)23:54 No.3090743
    THERE ARE NO STARS

    ONLY CYLONS.
    >> Anonymous 03/20/09(Fri)23:55 No.3090757
It's simple: The people who survived and colonized Earth just looked up in the sky and ctrl-v'd their constellations onto the stars they could see. Thus, they are the same, but it's not actually the same stars in the constellations.
    >> Anonymous 03/20/09(Fri)23:57 No.3090768
4chan really does breed the horrid mentality of human scum.

The point of the show was to example a continuous existence. Existence or God, whichever you want to think, doesn't have set plans for things in our lives. But our existence and meaning is all continuous. There is no final grand scheme in which all ends and all questions are answered.

Thus the explanation that the angels gave to Baltar and Caprica.

The blank slate idea was perfect. New Caprica was an absolute failure, how was repeating themselves over again going to do anything differently?

I thought that for a finale for such an amazing show, it was brief with certain elements. Starbuck wasn't entirely explained in a way that really made sense. As she wasn't like the angels that baltar and caprica saw.

The series ended with Jimi Hendrix. Epic in that alone.
