>Comedy Central's prime-time audience fell 19% in the four weeks through Oct. 21, while MTV's viewership declined 32% in the same period, according to Nielsen.

>Signs of slight ratings erosion were evident at both channels earlier this year, but the recent numbers show a much greater decline. So far this year, Comedy Central's average daily viewership is down 10% while MTV's is off 18%. Nickelodeon's audience, meanwhile, is down 23% for the year to date although the drop-off in September was narrower than in previous months.

Yep, I would've jizzed my pants as a kid if I could watch all my cartoons online. It always pissed me off when I'd have to see them out of order or be confronted with constant reruns. The Interwebs fulfills my autistic needs to watch them in chronological order, categorize them by season and episode, and know each episode title.

I'd say no more than 10years and TV will be dead.
I blame the fucking commercials, seriously, who the fuck wants to watch a movie that has a 5-10min break every 20mins. or a 30min show that has 3 5min breaks, fuck that.
>>
i haven't really watched comedy central in quite afew months, mostly because i switched cable companies about 4 months ago and for the life of me i still don't know what a single channel is.

generally i have to hunt through the guide to find the channel i'm looking for, so usually i just give up and watch something else or just play some video games.

but even still i haven't watched it because i've also been avoiding the colbert report and the daily show. the election season starts way too early for the modern world we live in, and i'm generally sick of hearing about it long before the candidates are even chosen.

i don't watch fuck all on the internet, i didn't buy a 40+ inch tv to watch it on my 19" moniter or 12' laptop.

admittedly i'd love to sign up for netflix again, but ever since they raised the price i just can't justify it anymore.

also streaming sucks for me, since att roped us in with those wireless cable boxes and combine that with the shit router they make you use everything gets bogged down easily.

>In July 2010, Redstone was caught on tape, trying to find the source of an apparently embarrassing leak within his own MTV. Redstone offered money and protection to a journalist if he would give up his source. Apparently Mr. Redstone had been pushing MTV management to give more airtime to a girl band called the Electric Barbarellas. 'On the message, Redstone tells the reporter that "we're not going to kill" the source, adding: "We just want to talk to him." The 87-year-old Redstone also tells the reporter he will be "well rewarded and well protected" if he gives up the source.[31] Lauria told NBC's "Today" show Wednesday he wouldn't do it. Viacom Inc. spokesman Carl Folta confirmed to "Today" that it was Redstone's voice on the message and said the mogul had made a mistake.
Wow. Didn't know that. That's an evil guy. That story anyway. I know who he is, but was just wandering what all he owned.

look at any review online for anything, people nit pick so god damn hard breaking bad would have been cancelled in season one.

homelands season one finalle would have never aired because "it's like every episode is filler"

and 2 and a half men would be the top rated show in the history of history because "lol tiger blood!!!!! i'm on a drug, it's called charlie sheen"

the reason no one is watching tv is because most shows are all shit. Can you think of even 1 good show on mtv now? They used to have such great shows like cribs, pimp my ride, rob and big, etc. They have shit now. Same with nickelodeon. Its all those shitty live action teeny bopper sitcoms. It was fine when there were just a few like drake and josh and thats so raven, but now there are like 50 of these fuckin types of shows and they are ALL THE SAME!!

Paying higher cable bills for shittier content with more commercials. I wonder why they have less customers?

On the internet you don't pay for commercials. It's free with commercials or you pay. Unless it's Hulu, but they will fail soon enough because of their shit rules. We also don't need to pay for executives to decide what the people want. No more Jew propaganda and hiring your buddy from temple.
