Official 4chan Chrome Extension updated for new HTML! Comes with a bunch of new features including post filtering and text buttons. More features to be rolled out later this week. The new extension runs orders of a magnitude faster on large threads.
Download it here!

After nearly a decade, we've rewritten our HTML/CSS from scratch and are now running on that new code. 4chan now validates HTML5/CSS3, and with a few other tweaks we've made, pages should be loading faster than ever. The design should be 100% the same too—if you notice any wonkiness, please make sure you're using a modern browser (something from the past year). Also, try clearing your cache.

Along with the new HTML comes two new big features: a mobile-optimized layout for phones so you can browse 4chan on the go, and inline extension features.

We've built what we think are the most popular extension additions directly into the site. To toggle them on and off, click "[Settings]" in the upper-right or bottom-right of the page. These features are: Quick reply, inline image expansion, post previews (for current thread only, we will make it global soon), backlinking (see who replied to a post), and enable a new drop-down style navigation. If you'd like the other features that the Chrome extension offers, grab it here.

Please report bugs to newhtml@4chan.org. Note if you are using an old browser, that is probably why you're experiencing bugs. Please include your OS and browser + version when reporting a bug.

ITT: We describe /tv/ in a nutshell
>>
>Wannabe film makers who have never even held a camera

>Hipsters who shout out "pleb" at anyone who likes a movie they don't

>Pedophiles who love ugly underaged actresses

>Avengers, Game of Thrones threads non stop

>Everyone hates your favorite movie or director

>Tarintino is a hack lol so edgy xd
>>
>Wannabe film makers who have never even held a camera
this happens maybe once a month and tends to be the high-point on /tv/
>>
>i hate that you like it
>>

Forgot to mention....

>Tripfag circle jerks
>No actual threads about film discussion just people hating shit because it's cool and edgy

This board is worse than /mu/.
>>
>>22935694
Meh. Out of all the media boards (/mu/a/v/tv/etc) I've found /tv/ to be the most tame of them.
>>
Everyone hates films and television programs.

Basically all I fucking read on this board.

At least in /mu/ you can get a decent recommendation thread going.

Here, you're lucky if you get 5 responses before it dies in the name of Selena Gomez or whoever the newest young tart who's barely had her period.

Did I miss anything?

I find that this board is the most hostile one on this site. Even /mu/ can be chill at times and the sharethreads when they do happen are civil.

/mu/ is more civil than /tv/ and both threads are over run by hipsters and tripfags.

Stop acting like you know what you're talking about. really it makes you look silly

Shut the fuck up pleb. We're just as friendly as /moo/
>>
At least you can say you're a better board than /v/.

/v/ is the Detroit of 4chan boards, no matter how bad your board gets at least it isn't /v/.
>>
>>22935899

Not really. /mu/ is a hundred times more civil.
>>
I'm a /v/ expat. there's something about this board that makes it incredible. we have some witty gentlemen here. i leave my /v/shit at the door if I'm posting though, unlike other people who you can tell are from /v/ in an instant.

The only boards I used go to are /tv/ and /mu/, and i had to quit /mu/ because i couldn't stand their shitty attitude anymore. Maybe its subjective, but i find /tv/ much nicer overall. Not nearly as self absorbed either
