12 KB The Simpsons should end soon before it's forced to. Anonymous 11/29/08(Sat)13:00 No.2255451
And use a full final season to tie everything up. Revisit the things people loved about the first few years. Have some comedy, some feel good moments, some drama. Give the main characters and the supporting characters a brief spotlight for a goodbye. Have a recurring character die, like Abe or Moe. Finish it all with a look at the future of the Simpson family; where they are in 10 year's time. There's been good episodes with positive and negative looks at their futures, and bad episodes with positive and negative looks at their futures; now make a good one that really happens.
    >> Anonymous 11/29/08(Sat)13:01 No.2255465
Even the final episode will have a "Lenny walks in out of nowhere and make a shitty joke" moment.

Shut up man, i love those moments.
Like yesterday, i was watching that ep where Bart and Lisa play hockey but in different teams and in the end they just say "FUCK IT" and hugged at the end. It gave me warm and fuzzy sensations and i like that shit.

Yes, "The Simpsons" have come a long way since an old drunk made humans out of his rabbit characters to pay off his gambling debts. Who knows what adventures they'll have between now and the time the show becomes unprofitable?

Instead we get the routine they've fallen in:

    1. beginning of episode not related to 2/3 of the episode

    2. homer or someone else does something stupid to set up the plot

    3. Lisa shrills her self-rightous advice in the name of moral and intellectual supremacy because only 8-year-old athiest (accept it; there's nothing about her that's Buddhist) liberals can set the whole world right.

    4. a moral lesson is learned telling us liberalism is right, everyuthing else is wrong, and anyone who is wrong is stupid

    5. end credits.

Simpsons should end with a normal actor waking up from a Coma, realising it was all a dream. That's why there is so many paradoxes, and the characters don't age.

Simpsons needs less jokes, more plot: Less Homer and Lisa, more everyone else: Less characters behaving as either liberal know-it-alls or conservative retards, more of behaving like they're in character.

Mr Freeze was so great in Batman: The Animated Series.
No wonder that first episode he was in beat The Simpsons for best animated episode of a tv show under 30 minutes.
He was so lame in Batman and Robin, but that's why I loved Batman and Robin, it was lame and hilariously bad.
Mr Freeze, particularly his voice in B:TAS was chilling. pun not really intended, but I probably used that word to describe it because it was Freeze, nonetheless, it was creepy, sad, depressing and beautiful
