I'd like to give some evil critique on the movie Skyline.

ending made me angry.

it's just...so bad..i mean in general. the storyline was so shitty, it made absolutely no fucking sense. granted, it is a sci-fi movie, but it was just pointless. they didn't even leave the square of apartment buildings through the whole movie, and the ending was just HORRIBLE

With the good CGI and the completely awful characters/dialogue/story it was like watching a computer getting fucked by a rabid horse.

Seriously one of the worst movies I've ever seen. One of those movies I wish I just never would have watched.

it's almost unbearable to watch. the characters are fucking lame and as a viewer you want them to die because of how vapid and petty they are.

i thought it was going to be like a civilian's view of Battle LA

I thought the CGI was alright, with it being an independent film and all

i must admit though, the only character i cared for was the pilot of the stealth bomber.
i found myself actually enjoying the aerial maneuvers and eventually launching a nuke into the spaceship.
unfortunately, the main characters survived it...even though they were so close to it..

First 10 minutes was ok. Everything after that was incredibly boring and repetitive (run there and duck; run up and hide; run down and kneel) and the ending was lame and idiotic. Guy's brains was sucked into one of the robots but he controls robot and protects girl but ending is cliff-hanger where other robots are surrounding him.

the trailer made it look a lot better than it actually was.

The storyline was so weak and dragging. Little to no interesting points, it was mostly just them hiding while vague CGI stuff happened outside. Probably the only remotely interesting part was the aerial fight which lasted about 2 minutes.

And then there was the huge "screw you" of an ending.

Seriously it was just depressing because it was so bad. The only other film that made me more pissed off was cowboys and aliens.

To me it worked like an extremely interesting character creation.

I mean, imagine two idiot brothers that only care about "cool vfx" and "aliens and shit" and suddenly have to write about couple problems, marriage, infidelity, psychological breakdown...

I mean wasn't it really funny that the rich black guy (and I guess the other too) actually was a visual effect supervisor?? Ahahaha honestly, from the way he lived he looked more like a fucking rapper or a network executive.
