Stereoscopic Conversions are still a really new thing, and different techniques are being developed every day.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of the VFX work re-done as well. This is George 'ILM' Lucas we're talking about here

Episode I was my favorite of the last 3 movies.

A friend and I were pretty hard core Star Wars fans. We came out the first time kind of like "Um...something was off about that..."
Our logic was that since we had seen the originals five hundred times, naturally a Star Wars movie that was wholly new and different would feel weird. So we saw it again later that day and again a few days later.
Still hated it. Pretty much the thing that snapped me out of giving a shit about Star Wars. My room was a goddamn Lucasarts shrine prior to that.

I'll watch it because I liked it when I saw it when it first came out and I'm sure it will look amazing in 3D.

Suel of the Fates and the podrace may have been good but AotC had better stuff overall, everything on Tatooine and Kamino was decent in AotC.
